Socially Engaged Art Installation

Safe Space is an interactive installation set in a space covered completely in large-format pink bubble wrap. When visitors make contact with the floor, seating and surfaces, the bubbles pop under pressure. While surrounded by pink bubble wrap, people are asked, "Where is your safe space?". Participants can contribute to the installation by responding to the artist's prompt and displayed for others to read. Responses are written on a card and sealed inside a transparent pink bubblewrap envelope.
