The Unlimited Financials system login greets users with a unique experience daily.
Imagine starting your day in an oncology practice—before your coffee has even kicked in, you’re preparing to juggle patient charts, treatment schedules, billing payment and the emotional weight that comes with caring for people in some of their hardest moments. The login screen is the very first interaction of that day—usually forgettable, purely functional—but what if it could offer a small exhale instead? A moment of lightness, a clever pun, a daily surprise.
That was the opportunity: to transform a routine login into a daily bright spot—building trust and brand connection through thoughtful, human-centered design. By pairing imagery with playful button text, I created a moment of delight that meets users where they are—bringing just a bit of levity to a high-stress environment, right when they need it most.

Created delight for users at the start of their workday with an interaction that is inspiring, humorous and upbeat while creating a personal connection.
Tools
Photoshop, Trello, Star Road
All dates in the calendar year are tracked on a Trello board marking national holidays and days of recognition. Working 30 days in advance, stock photography is downloaded for the background and foreground images. Working in Photoshop, the images are edited and layered into a template then formatted for the FE tool in Star Road where the logo, banner and button text is edited. Button text is selected with the technical writer and all images are reviewed with UX team. New images are pushed weekly in the system as the entry point.

The System login consists of a background image that fills the entire browser window of a locked device with and a responsive foreground image pinned to the left or right 1/4 edge then disappears at the breakpoint.
Logo
The Unlimited Systems logo is configured to display as a light theme or a dark theme and always appears in the centered on the screen.
Action Button
The action button is visibly emphasized in the center of the screen, indicating to the user that it will perform an action or initiate the login process when clicked. The button is configured in light or dark versions to coordinate with a light or dark banner. When the browser window is at full width, the button text is themed with the imagery, then defaults to “GET STARTED” text at smaller breakpoints.
Color Banner
The color banner is a doubled overlay of 40% transparency, which spreads across the middle 1/3 of the browser window on top of the background image. It displays in a light or dark theme to best offset the logo over imagery.
Foreground Image
The foreground image is always an outlined photo image that relates to the background image in theme, scaling with the browser window while remaining pinned to the left or the right. The foreground image disappears at medium breakpoints of 1280px.
Background Image
The background photo image always fills the full browser window.
